THOMASTON — The Episcopal Church of St. John Baptist hosts a community Messiah Sing in Watts Hall, 174 Main St., Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m. The event is directed by Anthony Antolini, artistic director of Down East Singers. Members of Mozart Mentors Orchestra and keyboard player Sean Fleming will provide accompaniment.
All area choristers interested in singing the Christmas portion and the Hallelujah Chorus of G.F. Handel’s 1741 “Messiah” are invited to participate. Some scores will be available to lend to those who do not have their own. Singers will be seated in sections by voice part.
Soloists include soprano Erin Chenard, contralto Jazmin DeRice, tenor David Myers-Wakeman and bass John David Adams.
Non-singers are welcome to listen if seating is available. The event is free. Mask wearing would be appreciated and masks will be provided free of charge.
