CAMDEN — For the past 30-plus years, David and Anne Dodson have each presented separate programs, David in the fall and Anne in early December. Due to COVID, the siblings have taken a break for the last two years, but decided that this year they would do a single show, together, Dec. 4. They will be joined by their many talented friends including Matt Szostak, Will Brown, The Lowdown (featuring John and Rachel Nicholas, and Mike Nickerson), Cindy Kallet and Grey Larsen, Grove Street Extension, Dean Stevens, Sara Grey and an abbreviated version of The Quasimodal Chorus (aka The Quasi-Quaismodal chorus). It will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Congregational Church of Camden, 55 Elm St. The concert is the closing event of Christmas by the Sea, Camden’s annual weekend of holiday festivities.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Advance tickets are available at Lily, Lupine & Fern in Camden, the Parent Gallery in Belfast and Rock City Café in Rockland. Adult tickets are $13 in advance, $15 suggested donation at the door. Children ages 6 through 12 are $6 in advance, $7 suggested donation at the door. Children younger than 6 are admitted free. As a small concession to COVID, there will be no refreshments this year and only a short “stretch” break in the middle of the concert. Masks are always appreciated. For more information or reservations, call 207-236-9576 or 207-236-2794.
