SOUTH THOMASTON — A driver was taken to the hospital early Saturday morning from a car crash in South Thomaston.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, a Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Richard Clark, 58, of Rochester, N.H., was driving south on Elm Street when his vehicle went off the road on the right side of the road on a curve, struck a utility pole, and ended up in a ditch at the intersection of Bartlett Lane.
Speed is considered a factor in the crash, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The driver was taken to a local hospital with injuries.
Assisting the Sheriff’s Office were South Thomaston Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Central Maine Power and Automaster.
