ROCKPORT – The Five Town CSD and MSAD 28 hosted a small, district only, unified bowling event at Oakland Park Lanes in Rockport Nov. 17.

Regional Special Olympics coach, and event coordinator, Anastasia Alley said that the district held a similar event last year.

“We found that we had a really fun time,” Alley said.

She added that while last year’s event, the Turkey Bowl 2021, was held without volunteers, this year’s event was with volunteers who are official unified partners.

“We like the idea of inclusion and building our school community,” she said.

Bowlers wore matching Turkey Bowl t-shirts and were on teams with names like Team Cider, or Team Gravy. Adding to the laughs and cheers for the day, many donned turkey hats or festive glasses.

An appearance was even made by Captain Jammer, the Camden Hills Regional High School mascot.
