ROCKLAND — On Thursday afternoon, at about 12:30, Rockland Police attempted to take 30-year-old Harley Winchenbach of Rockland into custody on several outstanding warrants, including a warrant for probation revocation.

While attempting to arrest Harley on Nov. 17, he fled from officers on foot. A brief foot pursuit ensued before he was taken into custody, Rockland police announced in a news release.

During the foot pursuit, Harley attempted to hide from police by entering an occupied apartment on Rankin Street. Harley was arrested on outstanding warrants, and faces additional charges of trespassing and refusing to submit to arrest.

Rockland Police thanked the citizens in the area who assisted.

Winchenbach is scheduled to make his initial appearance Friday, Nov. 18 in the Knox County court on outstanding charges including unlawful trafficking in drugs out of Lincoln County, theft and taking shellfish from a closed area in Knox County.
