UNION — On Saturday, Dec. 3, at 5 p.m., the ensemble Agadi performs at The Pour Farm, 56 Crawfordsburn Lane. Agadi performs spontaneously using the common language and experiences of the members. Each work is unique to the moment and to the performance.

For this performance the group consists of Chris Pert (trumpet, electronics), Amory Raymond (guitar, bass), Tom Luther (keyboard) and Tom Ulichny (percussion). All the current members are instructors at Midcoast Music Academy in Rockport.

All have experience performing and writing for multiple styles of music, and the evening’s performance will reflect that. Listeners will hear jazz, ambient, Indian, rock and roll, and modernist elements combined and recombined in a spontaneous performance.

The name Agadi means “completely; entirely; wholly” and “suddenly; immediately; at once” in the Kannada dialect of southwestern India.
