LINCOLNVILLE — On Sunday, Nov. 20, from 2 to 4 p.m., join seasoned musicians Alice Limoges and Bill Barnes as they perform Limoges’ original songs, as well as jazz and other covers, at Dot’s Market, 2457 Atlantic Highway (Route 1).

Limoges has a voice reminiscent of a young Fiona Apple and visual, powerful songwriting the vein of Joni Mitchell. Her rich lyrics weave stories and evoke true emotion. After seven years working in the NYC music scene and releasing four albums, Limoges returned to Maine and began writing a new canon of songs about the joys of living in the Camden Hills. She soon reunited with her former jazz mentor, Bill Barnes, who opens up genre possibilities and adds a beautiful, jazzy flair to Limoges’ original music.

Bella Barnes — who happens to be Bill’s niece, Alice’s songwriting student and daughter of Dot’s owner Susie Barnes — opens the show with a set of her original music. It’s truly a family affair.

Donations will be collected at the door, with a suggested donation of $20. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
