SWANVILLE — Floyd N. Linscott , 76, Of Swanville, Maine, passed away in his home with his beloved dog Splash at his side on Oct. 24, 2022. He was born March 20, 1947 in Rockland, Maine, the son of Harlan G. Linscott and Louise (Fuller) Linscott.

Floyd grew up in St. George, Maine, spending his youth lobster fishing with his uncle Nate on Hewett Island. He attended local schools, and enlisted in the Coast Guard in the late 60s. He loved fishing, being on the water, and all aspects of the business, also doing clamming on the side. He worked through the winters some years at Bath Iron Works and Fishers as a welder.
Floyd loved being outside and in the woods away from the public. In his later years when his health declined he would still plant a garden, feed the birds and tend to his dogs.
Floyd was predeceased by his father, Harlan G. Linscott; his mother Louise E. Linscott; his brother, Wayne Linscott; his son Trevor Linscott; daughter Karen Linscott; nephew Joel J. Cesarini; and his uncle, Nathan Fuller.
He is survived by  his sister, Diana L Cesarini of Thomaston; daughter Charity B. (Linscott) Wentworth of Rockland; sister-in-law, Joan Linscott of Thomaston; nephew Michael Linscott of Thomaston; niece Shannon (Cesarini) Butler of Warren, a very special friend he considered almost like a brother, Jay Drinkwater; and many cousins.
He requested no memorial services.
