As the dust settles at Aldermere Farm after the 4-H fair season and we gather the last of the fall harvest at Erickson Fields, we have a little time to reflect on what we’re thankful for.

Thanks to everyone who cheered on the Aldermere Achievers 4-H Club at the fairs. Three of the members sold their steers at Fryeburg Fair’s 85th Anniversary 4-H Auction and each of them received well-deserved recognition at the Knox County 4-H Achievement Celebration.

Thanks to the many volunteers, school groups, and Knox County Gleaners for helping our Teen Ag Crew harvest 18,529 pounds of vegetables at Erickson Fields. Once again, we’re on track to surpassing 20,000 pounds this year! Thanks to Good Shepherd Food Bank’s Mainers Feeding Mainers program, our local pantries, and community share tables for making this produce widely accessible to our neighbors in need.

Thank you for all the ways you help us make Aldermere Farm and Erickson Fields Preserves better resources for our community.

Happy Thanksgiving!
