ST. GEORGE — Emily Chadwick won a seat on the St. George Municipal School Unit School Board. Chadwick has served on the board before.

Chadwick was running against Alison Fongemie for Seat 3 on the St. George MSU School Board in the election concluding Tuesday, Nov. 8. Chadwick received 947 votes and Fongemie received 429 votes.

This position expires June 30, 2023, with the option to run for reelection to a three-year term.

This is the remainder of Dr. E. Dianne Rekow ’s term on the board. Dr. Rekow was elected to the School Board in May but died in August, prompting a special election.

An Aug. 23 statement from St. George MSU Superintendent Mike Felton said the board meets one evening each month, plus workshops, trainings and budget meetings in addition to committees and working groups.
