CUSHING — The Camden Conference and the Cushing Public Library host “Managing Turbulence: A Poetry Sampler” with poems selected by and facilitated by Ellen Goldsmith Sunday, Nov. 20, at 1:30 p.m. This event will be on Zoom and open to all. Please email wrobertsmaine63@gmail.com to register.

In turbulent times, whether personal, social or political, where do we turn? Through the ages, poets have inhabited this territory, finding paths of inquiry and discovery. This year’s poetry session for Camden Conference Community Events features 10 poems — classic and contemporary — presented by 10 readers. Together the poems and readers’ perspectives will create a collage of ideas and emotions. The poems are available to everyone on the Camden Conference website in advance.

This event is held in anticipation of the 2023 Camden Conference, “Global Trade and Politics:  Managing Turbulence,” to be held live the weekend of Feb. 17 through 19, 2023 at the Camden Opera House and live-streamed to venues in Portland, Rockland and Belfast.  See camdenconference.org for more information.
