THOMASTON — On Nov. 1, come hear the stories of several Thomaston fallen patriots and veterans from five different wars: The Civil War (five Fales brothers), World War I (Walter Hastings), World War II (David Wotton), Korea (Doug Miller) and Vietnam (Richard Moore). This presentation in honor of the upcoming Veterans Day will memorialize the personal sacrifices of many men and women through a few special stories.

The stories will be told by Susan Devlin, President of the Thomaston Historical Society who started the program of interviewing and profiling veterans a few years ago, and Sandy Moore, member of the Thomaston Select Board and who initiated the Thomaston Veteran Receptions in 2018.

This Historical Society lecture event will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the hall on the lower level of the Federated Church (8 Hyler St.) The entrance is from the parking lot behind the church, accessible off of Hyler Street or Dunn Street.
