Maine voters will elect a governor, congressperson, state senator, local house reps, and in some cities and towns will vote on local issues in the Nov. 8 election. Here is a listing of where and when to vote.

Towns will be voting on state items only unless otherwise noted. Information on Camden, Rockport, Appleton, Hope and Lincolnville elections can be found in a different article.

Cushing

Cushing polls are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voting takes place at the Cushing Community Center, 39 Cross Rd. Cushing voters will also be electing a member of the Select Board. Michael James and Corey Jones are the candidates on the ballot.

Friendship

Friendship polls are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voting takes place at the Friendship Town Office, 6 Harbor Rd.

Isle au Haut

Polls at Isle au Haut will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voting takes place at Revere Hall.

Matinicus

Matinicus polls are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voting takes place at the Matinicus Municipal Office, 17 South Road.

North Haven

North Haven polls are open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voting takes place at the town office, 16 Town Office Sq.

Owls Head

Voting will occur at the Owls Head Community Building, 224 Ash Point Drive from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Rockland

Voting in Rockland is 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Flanagan Community Center, 61 Limerock St. Rockland voters will also be deciding on multiple local items, including City Councilors, members of the RSU 13 School Board, and three bond issues. The bond issues are $15 million for repairs and maintenance of roads and sidewalks, $2.4 million to close the landfill and $15 million for stormwater management.

South Thomaston

South Thomaston polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Office, 125 Spruce Head Road.

St. George

St. George polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Office, 3 School St. In addition to the state items, St. George voters will be deciding one seat for the remainder of a term on the school board for the St. George Municipal School Unit. Candidates are Emily Chadwick and Alison Fongemie.

Thomaston

Thomaston voting is 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Lura Libby room of the municipal building, 13 Valley St.

Union

Union polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the William Pullen Meeting Room, 567 Common Road. Union voters will also be deciding on a citizen’s petition warrant item regarding a feasibility study on the Thompson Community Center.

Vinalhaven

Vinalhaven polls are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m, located at the Town Office, 19 Washington School Road.

Waldoboro

Voting in Waldoboro takes place at the Town Office, 1600 Atlantic Highway. Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. In addition to the state items, Waldoboro voters have local warrant questions.

Waldoboro warrant questions include allowing the Select Board to amend the inter-local agreement with Friendship and enter into an inter-local agreement with Jefferson to provide EMS services and appropriating funds from the sale of the Friendship Street School for projects.

Warren

Warren polls are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voting takes place at the Masonic Hall, 105 Camden Road.

Washington

Washington polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voting will take place in the Bryant Room at Gibbs Library, 40 Old Union Road.
