SPRUCE HEAD — The Craignair Gallery, 5 3rd St., invites the public to an opening celebration of “Flora and Fauna,” an exhibition of fine art by local artist Susan Lewis Baines, Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Baines is known for her exquisite drawings and paintings of the natural realm. In particular, this exhibition focuses on her love of Maine’s flora and fauna. A resident of South Thomaston, Baines forged a career as a jewelry designer and goldsmith before turning to two-dimensional artwork. Before the pandemic, she owned the Kelpie Gallery representing more than 40 artists in six years. Her current gallery space is located at 26 Split Rock Cove. “Flora and Fauna” will be on exhibit at the Craignair Gallery through Dec. 26.

Craignair Gallery is open daily from noon to 5 p.m. For more information, email innkeeper@craignair.com or visit craignair.com/gallery.
