ROCKPORT — On Saturday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m., Bay Chamber Concerts presents Ensemble 4.1 at the Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St. The only “piano windtet” of its kind, Ensemble 4.1 is made up of four wind soloists from top German orchestras and one unmistakable pianist.

The quintet’s exceptional communicative power and intoxicating on-stage presence are repeatedly praised by critics and have become the hallmark of Ensemble 4.1. The musicians are devoted to celebrating little known works from the late 19th century including the enchanting Gieseking quintet, which they will perform in this concert alongside movements from the Quintet for Piano and Winds by Mozart, and a sparkling arrangement of Gershwin’s “An American in Paris.”

Bay Chamber is committed to making live performance accessible to a broad audience by offering a tiered ticketing system. Tickets are $35 for adults age 35 and older, $20 for adults ages 22 to 34 and Pay-What-You-Wish for those age 21 and younger.
