ROCKPORT — Are you tired of digital photography? Interested in getting back to the craftsmanship and creativity of film? Jason Philbrook rediscovered film after many years of shooting photos with digital equipment. Five Town Adult and Community Education features Philbrook’s new class, Film Photography, beginning Thursday, Oct. 20, at Camden Hills Regional High School, 25 Keelson Drive. The course runs for five weeks Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m.

In this class, attendees learn about choosing film cameras, the various choices for film types, and how to shoot with a film camera. The class will also learn about film developing as Philbrook will be doing some film developing in class.

Philbrook has been a photographer since the 1990s and today shoots photos with everything from old wooden cameras to drones. Come revisit techniques you may not have used in years or learn about something you may never have done before.

The course costs $69 plus a $20 materials fee paid to Philbrook. To register or for more information, contact Five Town Adult Ed at 236-7800, opt. 5; adult.education@fivetowns.net; or visit fivetowns.maineadulted.org.
