UNION — Vose Library’s annual Soup & Suspense features author Barbara Ross Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 6:30 p.m. This is an in person event, but participants can also pick up their soup to take home and view the presentation via Zoom.

Soup will be ready at 6:30 p.m. for a suggested donation of $5, and the presentation begins at 7 p.m. followed by a question and answer session.

The in-person and Zoom presentation are free; copies of Ross’ books will be available for purchase. Vose encourages all participants to drop off a can of soup to be donated to Come Spring Pantry.

Ross is the author of the Maine Clambake Mysteries and the Jane Darrowfield Mysteries. Her books have been nominated for multiple Agatha Awards for Best Contemporary Novel and have won the Maine Literary Award for Crime Fiction. Ross’ Maine Clambake novellas are included along with stories by Leslie Meier and Lee Hollis in holiday anthologies from Kensington Publishing. Ross and her husband live in Portland.
