STILLWATER, Okla. — Thomas Alan Kent Sr., 76, died on Sept. 16, 2022, at home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Born July 5, 1946, at the Children’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of Wallace A. Kent, of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, and Dora F. Leo, of Rockland, Maine.

He graduated from Rockland District High School and Gorham State Teachers College. In Maine he taught Industrial Arts and in 1976 he moved to Belleview, Florida, where he taught electronics at Leesburg High School. Being a man of many talents, he enjoyed owning a used car dealership, selling fun at Landseair Travel Company, constructing many homes in Fruitland Park, Florida, restoring a 1917 Model-T Ford Speedster and being able to drive it in the Disney World Easter Parade.

He is survived by his wife Geraldine (Jeri) Mahar Kent of Stillwater, Okla., his daughter Wanda (Guy) Cooper of Stillwater, Okla., his granddaughter Kaitlin Jane Cooper of Stillwater, Okla., his son Thomas A. (Pam) Kent Jr. of Sumter County, Fla., his grandson Thomas A. Kent III of S.C., his granddaughter Taylor R. Kent of Lady Lake, Fla., his sister Nancy (Mike) Fontaine of New Bedford, Mass. He was predeceased by his sister Audrey Michaud and several nieces and nephews.

It was Tom’s wish that no formal funeral services be held. He will be cremated and the ashes scattered in places held dear to Tom.
