October is almost here, which means the 4th annual Shepard Storage and Shepard Auto Shepard Stuff the Trunk is about to happen! Shepard Storage and Shepard Auto Group are committed to helping homeless pets in need. Now in its fourth year, the Shepard team is hosting their annual Stuff the Truck drive. This event collects much-needed supplies for the animals of Pope Memorial Humane Society.

How does it work? During October, you can bring a donated item from the Pope Memorial Humane Society wish list to either Shepard Storage/Shepard Chrysler Dodge Jeep at 178 New County Road, Thomaston, or Shepard Toyota at 181 New County Road, Thomaston. Your donation(s) will help stuff the truck, which will be delivered to PMHS at the end of the month.

We are so grateful for the Shepard team and their commitment to homeless pets in need. As I write this, there are over 300 animals in our care at the shelter. Every single donation collected will directly help homeless pets in need.

Diego

Speaking of homeless and adoptable pets, have you met Diego? If you’ve visited Pope Memorial Humane Society sometime in the past year, there is a good chance you’ve met this slobbery, goofy, fun-loving guy. Yes, Diego has been with us for a while, almost 450 days. Diego is definitely ready for a home. He loves people, food, and toys! That’s a pretty great combination. This handsome guy is looking for someone who will shower him with love and toys, lots of toys! Get it? Diego likes toys! Diego can be particular about other dogs, but hey, that’s ok. Not everyone can be best friends! For more information on Diego, visit popehumane.org or stop by the shelter. The PMHS kennel staff would love to introduce you to this handsome boy.

Wish list: Temptations cat treats, paper towels, mini dog treats, gift cards to local businesses to purchase supplies for the shelter.
