The following cases were completed in the Knox County court from Sept. 9 through Sept. 16.

Craig H. Sheard, 64, Thomaston, domestic violence stalking on Feb. 3, 2022 in Thomaston, 364 days in jail all suspended, one year probation; violating protection from abuse order, same sentence.

The victim in the case argued against the court accepting the sentence agreement because Sheard entered a no contest plea. A no contest plea results in a conviction but does not require the defendant to admit guilt. The woman told Justice Jeffrey Hjelm that Sheard stalking her had changed her life forever and she does not feel safe.

When Sheard was stopped by Thomaston police, driving by the woman’s home, he had a pair of binoculars on him.
