The five Midcoast high school golf squads were in action on the links — four in direct conflict — which saw three drive, chip and putt to match wins on Thursday, Sept. 15.

Oceanside of Rockland emerged with a 7-2 win over Medomak Valley of Waldoboro and Camden Hills of Rockport a 7-2 decision over Lewiston, while Mount View of Thorndike dropped a pair of 9-0 matches to Belfast and Lawrence of Fairfield.

Additionally, on Friday, Sept. 16, Oceanside lost to Lincoln Academy of Newcastle 7-2 in a road match.

On Monday, Sept. 19, the Mariners and Lions came up short in matches against Leavitt of Turner and Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield.

Leavitt 6, Oceanside 3

At Rockland Golf Club Sept. 19, the Hornets continued to sting opponents — as they have all season — with a victory over the Mariners. Leavitt prevailed with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 171 to 184 for Oceanside.

The individual results, with Oceanside golfers listed first, were: Noah McLellan (44) halved with Billy Visconti (42); Bryson Mattox (42) lost to Jade Haylock (40), 2-down; Rhys Jones (46) beat A.J. Davis (47), 1-up; Levi Philbrook (52) lost to Aiden Lind (42), 5+4; Josiah Danforth (57) halved with Jace Velozo (59); and Parker Darge (58) beat Ashlyn Holbrook (68), 3+1.

Maine Central Institute 7, Belfast 2

At J.W. Parks in Pittsfield Sept. 19, the Huskies swung past the visiting Lions. MCI prevailed with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 182 to 191 for Belfast.

The individual results, with Belfast players listed first, were: James Ritter (43) lost to Owen Moore (39), K.J. Payson (46) lost to Joseph Parker (38), Zach Sanderson (52) lost to Jillian Plamondon (48), Gary Gale (54) beat Marta Weinstein (57), Hagen Chase (63) lost to Heidi Dechaine (58) and Bobby Banks (50) beat Noley Littlefield (66).

Parker carded 38 to collect medalist honors.

Lincoln Academy 7, Oceanside 2

At Wawenock Golf Club Sept. 16, the host Eagles played consistently enough to grab a victory over the visiting Mariners. LA finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 191 to 198 for Oceanside.

The individual results, with Oceanside golfers listed first, were: Noah McLellan (40) lost to Kellen Adickes (36), 3+2; Bryson Mattox (44) beat Damon Ellingwood (45), 1-up; Levi Philbrook (55) beat Grady Burns (57), 2-up; Josiah Danforth (59) lost to Brandon Kelsey (53), 5+3; Parker Darge (65) lost to Gabe Hanley (56), 1-down; and Oceanside forfeited to Cam Mcloud (62).

Adickes was medalist at 36.

Oceanside 7, Medomak Valley 2

At Rockland Golf Club Sept. 15, the Mariners kept the Panthers winless on the campaign with their sixth win in eight matches. Oceanside prevailed with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 185 to 215 for Medomak Valley.

The match was part of Medomak Valley’s multi-day homecoming celebration.

Belfast 9, Mount View 0; Lawrence 9, Mount View 0

At Country View Golf Course in Brooks Sept. 15, the Mustangs came up short in a pair of matches against the Lions of Belfast and Bulldogs of Fairfield. Belfast finished with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 182, Lawrence 185 and Mount View 257.

Belfast and Lawrence did not compete against one another.

The Lions were led by James Ritter (40), Caden Nickerson (56), K.J. Payson (45), Zach Sanderson (57), Gary Gale (45) and Hagen Chase (52).

The Mustangs were keyed by Evan Aspinal (65), Garrett Fowler (57), Jonas Holmes (64) and Lacey Landers (71).

The Bulldogs were paced by Matt Quigley (43), Caleb Luckern (46), Broden Eaton (55), Ryan Brown (48) and Liz Holden (48).

Ritter shot 40 and to earn medalist honors distinction.

Camden Hills 7, Lewiston 2

At Goose River Golf Course in Rockport Sept. 15, the Windjammers sailed to a victory over the visiting Blue Devils. Camden Hills prevailed with a four-golfer, nine-hole stroke total of 192 to 200 for Lewiston.

The individual results, with Camden Hills golfers listed first, were: Wilson Fedarko (50) beat Will Routhier (51), Jack Edgar (47) beat Charlie Foster (53), Aiden Aselton (54) lost to Aiden St. George (50), Micah Fagonde (46) beat Dylan Blue (56), Garrett Hall (55) lost to Ethan Blue (46) and Bennett Gardner (49) beat Ben Judkins (65).

Fagonde and Ethan Blue were co-medalists at 46.
