ST. GEORGE — The St. George Historical Society will host an open house at the Robinson Homestead, located at 945 River Road, on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. “Chickens in Maine: Past, Present and Future,” will be the theme of the Open House. The Andrew Robinson Homestead was the site of one of several thriving poultry farms in St. George. Items at the Homestead connected to the industry will be showcased. Renowned local poultry judge Erik Nelsen, a local egg producer and displays generously loaned from the Finnish Heritage House will also be featured. This is a free, family friendly event. Donations gladly accepted. Both the house and barn will be open for touring
