Five Town Adult Ed will offer the Homebuyer’s Education course, from MaineStream Finance, in person again. This class will explain much of the jargon used by real estate agents and lenders, help class participants learn how much house they can afford and ways to finance it. Participants who attend all classes receive a homebuyer education certificate, recognized by Maine State Housing Authority and Rural Development, giving them access to special loan programs through MSHA, FHA, and VA. The certificate is good for two years. This class meets for three nights at Camden Hills Regional High School, Oct. 17, 18, and 19, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with the final night ending before 8:30.
