ROCKLAND — Join Gordon Bok for an evening of music and stories as he shares in the mission of the Sail, Power and Steam Museum — to celebrate, honor, experience and tell the stories of our maritime heritage. The Friday, Sept. 30, concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at 75 Mechanic St.

Bok is one of Maine’s premier musical voices, telling the stories of our maritime heritage along the coast — his music resonates for those of us who love this special place. A writer, sculptor, artist, singer and songwriter, Bok’s art shares the stories of the islands, the coast, and the people who raised and supported their families, earning a living from the sea. He paints a picture with his words and music as clearly and colorfully as he does with all the depth and texture of his wood carvings.

Tickets are $15 for museum members and $20 for non-members, available at eventbrite.com.
