Rockland Police announced Friday, Aug. 26 that they have charged young people with multiple crimes over the past month.

One juvenile was charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon (Class B ) and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon (Class C). The charges stem from the incident on Aug. 6, involving the pistol-whipping of another juvenile.

Additionally but unrelated, Rockland Police charged multiple people, both juvenile and adult, after an investigation into the damaging of several properties and playground equipment; vandalized on Aug. 12 with graffiti, including racial slurs.

Two juveniles were charged with criminal mischief. In addition, 18-year-old Kelsie Morin was charged with criminal mischief; and 18-year-old Khyllie Cochran of Warren was arrested on the charges of criminal mischief, theft, and violating conditions of release. Cochran is currently being held at the Knox County Jail in Rockland.

Cochran has been charged twice previously in the past two months including for vandalism at Oceanside High School in Rockland.
