Our friend and neighbor “Doc” Wallace is running to fill out the remaining two-year term of the recently vacated seat on the Rockport Town Council.

Though transplants to Rockport, Doc, and his wife, Haunani, were enthralled by the quaint, small town, Americana quality of life in our town, which they strive to preserve. They love our traditional domestic, Victorian, and Federal-style architecture and have made their own restored Victorian cottage a postcard, picture-book icon of the community.

He comes to Rockport with the background of being a big-city, award-winning school superintendent with a real-world, community-level finance and budget knowledge. He possesses the administrative and executive decision-making qualities necessary to administer a school district…skill and knowledge that would amply qualify him for a position on our city council.

Doc and Haunani have been deeply involved in our community activities. Both have been active in Rockport’s Garden Club and Haunani can be seen out mulching, weeding, and primping our public gardens. When it comes to supporting the community, they don’t just talk the talk, they really walk the walk. By electing Doc Wallace, we will be getting a two for one bonus.

Please, do Rockport a favor and vote for “Doc” Wallace for Rockport Selectman.
