THOMASTON — Thomaston Place Auction Galleries will preview the inventory of items to be sold in their three-day “Splendor” auction Aug. 26-28 at 11:00 a.m., with over 1,260 lots of fine art and decorative items assembled from estates throughout the Northeast to be sold. The inventory includes artwork (with many pieces by Maine artists such as Jamie Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, N.C. Wyeth, Marguerite Zorach, Dahlov Ipcar, Eric Hopkins and many others); plus collections of Americana, Asian artifacts, and decorative accessories.

Previews: Monday-Friday, Aug. 15-19, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 20, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Monday-Thursday, Aug. 22-25, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and 9-11 a.m. on auction days, Aug. 26-28.

Thomaston Place Auction Galleries is located on Route 1. Helpful staff members are stationed throughout the gallery to assist visitors and answer any questions they may have.  You may also pre-register for the auction or set up telephone or absentee bids at any time during preview week.
