ROCKLAND — Breakers Jazz is the featured “Afternoon Under the Tent” band at the Sail, Power and Steam Museum Sunday, Aug. 21, at 4:30 p.m. Admission to the concert is free. The museum is located on Rockland’s working waterfront at 75 Mechanic St., next to the Snow Marine Park.

Breakers Jazz plays popular standards of the big band era and make-you-want-to-dance classics of pop, rock and roll. Breakers Jazz is an annual attraction of the Rockport Masonic Center Summer Concert Series, and has performed for the Rockland Summer Solstice, Belfast Street Festival, Maine Lobster Festival and several engagements at the Boothbay Opera House. Breakers’ previous concert was a sold-out celebration for Graffam Bros. 75th Anniversary at the Rockport Opera House. Breakers Jazz is the break-out jazz group of Bay Winds North Wind Ensemble. Both bands are directed by Marlene Hall.
