VINALHAVEN — Vehicles belonging to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Maine Marine Patrol were damaged Thursday afternoon when a driver experienced a medical emergency and struck the law enforcement vehicles.
The incident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. Aug. 4 when a vehicle was coming off the ferry, according to Knox County Sheriff Patrick Polky. The driver had a medical emergency and struck a couple parked vehicles in the parking lot. The vehicles were a county cruiser and Marine Patrol vehicle.
There were no injuries from the crash. The county cruiser was disabled by the crash.
