On behalf of the Camden Garden Club, I’d like to offer our thanks to the many local businesses, organizations and individuals who helped make our recent House and Garden Tour a success. We’d especially like to recognize the Camden Public Library, for selling tickets, promoting our tour on its website, and offering special historical tours of the Ampitheatre and Harbor Park at two times during our Tour Day on July 21. Our participants, many of whom are from out of town, were fascinated by the information and left with a much greater understanding of our town.

We’d also like to thank the Penobscot Bay Chamber of Commerce, for allowing us to once again occupy their deck on the Camden Public Landing as our Tour Headquarters.

And for the first time in several years, we’ve enjoyed the participation of the Mid Coast Sports Car Club in our event. The vintage sports cars displayed at our various tour stops added another entertaining element to the day.

Local businesses from Belfast to Warren, including Brambles, Left Bank Books, Glendarragh Lavender, Guini Ridge, Plants Unlimited, the Green Thumb and Moose Crossing made it easy to purchase tickets and we are most grateful to them.

And finally, we’d like to thank the homeowners and volunteers who helped make this 74th edition of the House and Garden Tour a wonderful day for everyone. This event raises funds that the Camden Garden Club uses for the exclusive benefit of the Town of Camden, including the hanging baskets on the lamp posts, the lighted Christmas wreaths, the traffic island plantings, and many of the other landscaping features that enhance the beauty of our town.

We couldn’t do it without you!
