New Era’s ‘Late Summer Show’ begins Aug. 6

VINALHAVEN — The “Late Summer Show” at New Era Gallery, 60 Main St., opens Saturday, Aug. 6, and runs through Tuesday, Aug. 30. The show features evocative acrylic and mixed media landscapes by Peter Bodnar III, oil paintings of familiar island places by Suzanne Savage Brewer, and assembled wall sculpture, prints and drawings by Kitty Wales.

The gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the day of the opening with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Summer gallery hours are Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other Sundays are open by appointment.
