WASHINGTON — Jennifer Dupree, author of “The Miraculous Flight of Owen Leach,” will do a short reading, followed by a workshop, Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gibbs Library, 40 Old Union Road. Dupree says it will be “a talk about the writing process and how the book came about, some Q and A, and a brief writing prompt based on the passage.” Dupree may even do one favorite prompt she likes to do “about objects that can lead to a discussion on place and character.”
