ROCKPORT — Gently used books are waiting to be discovered as The Friends of Rockport Public Library (FRPL) will hold their summer book sale on Friday, July 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, July 30, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rockport Public Library. The sale will take place in the Rockport Room.

Become a member of the Friends and save 10% on all sale. Annual memberships are easy to get, and all proceeds go to the library. Individual memberships are $15, family memberships are $20 and patron memberships are $50.

A wide variety of books are available, from fiction, mystery, history, biography, cookbooks, art, Maine, children’s books, and a huge “specials” table. Along with all the books DVDs, CDs, puzzles and more will be available.

Funds raised will be donated directly to the Rockport Public Library. The funds are used to purchase new library materials, for children and adult programs and supplies, multimedia resources, as well as technology and equipment for the library.

Only checks and cash are accepted for the sale. Volunteers are needed for table and book set up, cashiering and clean up. Let the library know if you are interested in helping.
