APPLETON — The Appleton Library is just starting its summer reading program.

The challenge is to read books and do other library-related activities to earn as many raffle tickets as possible to be entered in our drawings.

The Union Masonic Lodge donated bikes for our summer reading program this year, complete with helmets.

Library patrons of all ages may enter the challenge, which runs until Sept. 7.

Coming to hear one of our guest speakers — next one will be local artist Ann Hedly July 26 at 6 p.m. — or attending another library event will allow you to mark off one square or circle on your Bike Bingo card, as will simply coming in to pick up your card.

Each horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row will earn you one entry in the drawings, as will covering your entire card.
