CAMDEN — Mes Amis, a Maine-based gypsy jazz quartet, returns to the First Congregational Church of Camden, 55 Elm St., to present a concert in the church sanctuary Sunday, July 24, at 4 p.m.

Mes Amis features guitarist, vocalist and composer Steve Lynnworth, Shane Ellis on clarinet and saxophone, Harry Richter on rhythm guitar, and Duane Edwards on upright bass. Together they play an infectious mix of traditional Gypsy, Latin and American jazz standards, along with many original compositions.

Mes Amis has proved popular with Camden audiences over the last decade, usually appearing as part of the First Congregational Church’s Friends of Music concert schedule. This summer, the group is providing this “pop-up concert” as a special treat to its local fans. The concert is presented free and open to the public, although donations for the band will be cheerfully accepted at the door.
