THOMASTON — Richard J. Taylor “Dicky,” 79, passed away Dec. 31, 2021.

Born Oct. 6, 1942, in Thomaston to Marium Taylor and Carl Peters, he attended Thomaston and Rockland schools. An honored VFW, 1968-1970, Company D, 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry, 2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (purple heart and bronze star) he was a lobsterman living in Stonington 43-plus years and retiring there.

He was predeceased by his wife, Connie Lee. He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Farrar and husband, Robert; son, Richard Taylor and wife, Antia; daughter, Wanda Chipman; son, Jeffery Taylor; son, James Taylor; son, Micheal Johnson and wife, Jennifer; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; stepchildren, Daniel Trundy, Yvonne Fournier, Ricky Trundy and wife, Janet; daughter-in-law, Rena Trundy, with grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; niece, Jennifer Brown; his brother, Butch; and sisters, Carleen and Joanne.
