ROCKLAND — Starting Monday, July 11, the hours of operation at Rockland City Hall change.

The new hours will be as follows:

Mondays through Thursdays 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

And Fridays, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The hours have been 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

City Manager Tom Luttrell said the city is experimenting for the summer.

“We are trying to have hours that will benefit the working citizen. Friday afternoons are slow so opening a half hour earlier and staying open later will hopefully help people conduct city business,” he said.
