OWLS HEAD — St. Paul native and Owls Head summer resident David Butwin, lifestyle, humor, international experience and travel author, will speak on his most memorable travel experiences. The event begins at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 21, with a rain date the following week. It will be held in the yard and gardens of a private home overlooking Makers Cove at 89 Makers Cove Road.

Admission is free; donations are appreciated. RSVPs are suggested to owlsheadvillagelibrary@gmail.com so organizers can email in case of inclement weather. Bring a blanket or chair and be prepared to enjoy a beautiful environment with shared community, ideas and refreshments.

Butwin has written widely on travel, sports, lifestyle and humor for a variety of national publications and is the author of two memoirs. He also writes locally for The Free Press, with many front page articles on his travel experiences.

The Owls Head Village Library serves Midcoast towns on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library offers a newly renovated children’s room, current bestsellers readily available, a book club and other off-site experiences on the web or in public and private spaces.
