ROCKLAND — Bay Winds North Wind Ensemble presents a free concert at the Sail, Power, and Steam Museum Sunday, July 17, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The concert will take place outdoors on the shores of Rockland Harbor under the museum’s large tent at 75 Mechanic St., rain or shine.

Based in Rockland, Bay Winds is comprised of musicians from high school age to retirees from throughout the Midcoast. Under the direction of Marlene Hall, they are in their 12th year, performing concerts throughout the year and participating in several parades during the summer months. The ensemble’s schedule can be seen on its Facebook page.

The Sail, Power, and Steam Museum was co-founded by Capt. Jim and Meg Sharp to celebrate the Midcoast’s maritime cultural heritage. Ever a supporter of local music, the museum hosts Sunday Music Jams from 1:30 to 3 p.m. every Sunday throughout the year as well. Upcoming concerts include Gordon Bok Friday, Sept. 30.
