Rockport Public Library is offering a summer of S.T.E.M. experiments and seaside adventures in partnership with John Van Dis, education and teacher professional development director of Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership. Over five weeks participants will explore the local ocean and ecosystem through data art, cooking and crafting with seaweed and sea vegetables, and marine debris and cleanup at the Rockport Harbor. The class, which will take place in the Rockport Room, Thursdays, July 7 – Aug. 4 from 3 to 4 p m, is ideal for ages 11 to 18.
