Megunticook Rowing will offer summer rowing programs for all ages and levels of rowing experience. Rowing can be a good way to get fit and enjoy the beauty of the waterways while practicing social distancing.

New to rowing
Learn-to-Row classes will meet weekday mornings and on weekends throughout the summer for a four day learn-to-row class with experienced summer coaches. No experience is needed, just a desire to have fun and a willingness to try something new.

Novice Rowing

Students who have completed the Learn-to-Row classes or newer rowers, might enjoy the Novice Rowing classes two mornings and one evening each week.

Experienced rowers

Experienced rowers interested in gathering for a social row and who also want to improve their technical abilities, can sign up for Intermediate Rowing two mornings and one evening each week

For those who are interested in training for speed, the early morning Competitive Rowing program is offered three mornings and one evening each week. Summer rowing will include sculling in single boats, and rowing in group boats, depending on interest.

Private lessons
The experienced coaching staff includes professional coaches with extensive collegiate and club level experience, and college rowers home for the summer, eager to teach others to row.

Megunticook Rowing will comply with all State of Maine and U.S. Rowing COVID 19 guidelines to ensure a safe experience for all participants.

Megunticook Rowing is a community-based, nonprofit rowing program located at Barrett’s Cove on Megunticook Lake in Camden, providing rowing opportunities to people of all ages and abilities, from middle schoolers to octogenarians.
