OWLS HEAD — An Owls Head firefighter was taken to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport with heat exhaustion after helping to battle a fire at a Woods Road home Tuesday, June 28.
Owls Head Fire Chief Frank Ross said the firefighter was doing OK after being treated at the hospital.
The house caught fire from a grill that was located on the deck of the home at 43 Woods Road owned by Valerie Jackomino, Ross said. There was exterior damage to the house.
Rockland and South Thomaston also responded to the fire which was called in at about 6:30 p.m.
