CAMDEN — The Camden Public Library, 55 Main St., hosts the Summer Harbor Arts & Books Fair on Saturday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fair features 65 juried artists and craftspeople with booths along Atlantic Avenue and throughout the beautiful and historic grounds of the Camden Amphitheatre and Harbor Park. This family-friendly community event is free and open to residents and visitors alike.
“This is the most diverse and exciting collection of artisans that have ever participated in the show,” said Lynne Annis, chair of the Harbor Arts committee. “Whether you are looking for a special gift, something for your home, or a treat for yourself, shoppers will undoubtedly be thrilled by the extraordinary talent of this summer’s vendors.” Offerings range from jewelry to photography to fiber arts — plus ceramics, functional art, fine art and more.
The fair runs concurrently with the library’s giant book sale under the tent, which kicks off two days earlier on Thursday, July 7, and runs through Sunday, July 10. The tent will be located adjacent to the parking lot, just past the Camden Amphitheatre on Atlantic Avenue. Bibliophiles are welcome to browse the bountiful selection, which is refreshed regularly, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The Harbor Arts and Books Fair is hosted and produced to benefit the fundraising efforts of the Camden Public Library. Generous support for the fair is provided by lead sponsor The Reny Charitable Foundation. Additional support is provided by TREEKEEPERS LLC-Johnson’s Arboriculture and Camden Riverhouse Hotel and Inn.
