The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two residential burglaries during the past week.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, a homeowner of a residence on the Port Clyde Road in St. George returned home and observed a man inside the home running to the back door. The suspect fled into the woods.

Sheriff’s officers arrived and found signs of a forced entry but were unable to locate the suspect. The incident is still under investigation.

On Tuesday morning, around 11, a homeowner, of a residence on the Razorville Road in Washington discovered damage to a garage door, indicating forced entry, and several items missing from the residence. The incident is under investigation.
