Author Ali Farrell will discuss her book, “Pretty Rugged; True Stories from Women of the Sea,” at the Appleton Library, June 28.

The Appleton Library’s speaker program, Tuesday Titles, continues Tuesday, June 28, at 6 p.m. The second speaker is local author Ali Farrell. Farrell has written a book on women in the commercial fishing industry entitled “Pretty Rugged; True Stories from Women of the Sea,” along with a children’s book on the topic, “A Lobster Girl Can.”

Farrell will be talking about these works and her other projects, as well as about the process of becoming a self-published author. Depending on the level of community transmission and attendance numbers at the event, masks may be required. However, either way, the library does have sufficient room for social distancing.
