MARTINSVILLE — Jackson Memorial Library’s Summer Literary Series returns to the Oceanview Grange, 435 Port Clyde Road, on the first three Tuesdays in July at 5:30 p.m. After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Literary Series opens Tuesday, July 5, with award-winning fiction writer and poet Sarah Blake.

Blake has taught fiction workshops at the University of Maryland and George Washington University. She is the author of a book of poetry and three novels — “Grange House” and New York Times best-selling books “The Postmistress” and “The Guest Book.” Both “Grange House” and “The Guest Book” dive deep into Blake’s personal perceptive and insightful experiences in Maine.

The event is free and open to the public. Masks are optional, but COVID-19 precautions are advised. The literary presentation will begin with a reception and light snacks. For more information, call 207-372-8961 or visit JacksonMemorialLibrary.org.
