CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Jordan Matero, 24, of Rockland recorded his first career golf hole-in-one far from his home course — namely, on a popular, demanding layout in the northwestern mountains of Maine.
The Rockland Golf Club member earned an ace on the 132-yard, par-3 15th hole at the majestic and highly-challenging Sugarloaf Golf Course.
The accurate tee shot, which came using a pitching wedge on Monday, June 13, was witnessed by Donald Prescott, Dave Harrison and Nick Tinker.
