Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District has announced the poster contest winners of the annual conservation poster contest. This program is part of the National Association of Conservation Districts’ contest, which each year sets a national stewardship theme. Louisa Crane, KLSWCD program coordinator, provided resources for this year’s theme, “Healthy Soil, Healthy Life?” to 18 classrooms in grades K-6 throughout Knox and Lincoln counties.

Grades K-1 Category winner is Mark Bowen of Union Elementary School; Grades 2-3 Category winner is Sebastian Bathe Oyer of Chewonki Elementary and Middle School; Grades 4-6 Category winner is Ophelia Larsen of Lincolnville Elementary School and Kristi Todd’s Union Elementary School Kindergarten class.
