ROCKLAND — A bulldozer fell off a flatbed Thursday morning, June 9, on Route 1.

There were no injuries and the equipment was righted within 15 minutes.

The incident occurred at about 7: 30 a.m. at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Route 1 near the Thomaston town line. The bulldozer broke free of a pair of chains that anchored it to the flatbed, but those chains broke when the flatbed turned left onto Route 1 from Pleasant Street. The bulldozer landed on its side.

The equipment belonged to George Hall & Sons. Within a few minutes, the company sent other equipment and quickly had it upright.

Chunks of pavement were broken up in the mishap.
