THOMASTON — Linda Susan Hoyt passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, Oct. 17, 2021, due to health complications.

Linda was born Dec. 28, 1954, in Danvers, Mass., to Jean and Kenneth Hoyt.

She graduated from Danvers High School and attended Gordon College in North Beverly, Mass.

On June 4, 1974. Linda married Bruce Melanson and they resided in Wakefield, Mass., and had one daughter, Jennifer Dawn Melanson.

Life changes found Linda moving to Worthington, Ohio, with her daughter to be closer to her parents and sister and then moved to Thomaston after her parents moved there to take care of Linda’s grandmother who was in declining life.

Linda held various administrative and managerial positions in her life and was successful in her duties.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Ken Hoyt and her grandmother, Charlotte Williams. She was survived by her sister, Julie and husband, Robert, her daughter, Jennifer and many cousins.

A graveside memorial will be held in at the Village Cemetery in Thomaston. The date will be announced later.

In lieu of flowers and her love of animals, donations can be made to Pope Memorial in Thomaston or Paws of Camden in her memory.
